Dr. Jyotsna Suri, Past President, FICCI & CMD, The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, highlighted the critical role of golf in high-value tourism and economic growth.
Mr. Suman Billa IAS, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, underscored the significance of golf tourism as a high-impact sector. To facilitate this, he stressed the need for an inter-ministerial task force to integrate golf development with tourism initiatives.
The session was moderated by Mr. Rajan Sehgal, Chairman, FICCI Golf Task Force & President, India Golf Tourism Association, who reiterated the importance of a long-term vision to position India as a premier golfing hub.
